HYBRID MODEL

THE TWO STUDY MODELS CHOSE TO CREATE HYBRID MODEL:

HYBRID

AFTER LOOKING AT THE TWO PREVIOUS STUDY MODELS, I CAME UP ABOUT THE CONCEPT OF FUSING THE SHAPE OF A WAVE (SHOWN IN THE FIRST STUDY MODEL)  BY COMBINING IT WITH THE SHAPE OF THE RAIL SHOWN IN THE SECOND MODEL. THE MATERIAL THAT REPRESENTS THE WAVES IS BEEN HELD BY WOOD STICK THAT SERVES AS THE PATH OF THE RAIL.

  1. The hybrid images are extremely strong. I would like to see how this relates to the site and possibly carves into the site, creating positive and negative spaces. The light coming in creates amazing view, shadows and these shadows could extend to the exterior into the site as voids. I also see the images of piers in the water with your vertical supports.

  2. The study models represent good morphosis form the abstract concepts to more powerful visual vocabulary in terms strong geometry and play of light and shadow.

  3. I think this model is absolutely beautiful. It's subtle yet so powerful and I honestly wouldn't change anything but since this is only a part of the process the next step I would take is towards a more defined hierarchy. Is each wave the same width and depth for a reason? Where do you want the most important moment of your building to be? Is the interior rising along with the exterior or is it doing the complete opposite? I would love to see how you develop this even further but if you only make a few small changes I think it'll still look great.

    Best of luck.
